How Sessions Typically Work
Co-parenting mediation is usually shorter and tightly focused: identify the specific friction, work the options, write down what the parties agree to try. If a governing order exists, any agreement is structured to fit within it.
Co-parenting mediation here is typically a short, private session — not court-ordered dissolution mediation. It is a tune-up for a plan that already exists: many co-parenting matters are handled in a single two-hour session, subject to any governing order.

When this process is not a fit
Mediation is voluntary and only works when both people can speak for themselves and the conversation can stay balanced. It is usually the wrong tool when there is an injunction or a history of domestic violence that would compromise the process, when assets appear to be hidden, or when a party needs emergency court relief.
